Solomons Temple was Made of Gold
King Solomon’s enormous temple took a long seven years to build before its furnishings, courtyard, and ornamental embellishments were finished. The temple’s interior was richly decorated. The stonework has beaten gold applied over it. There were golden sinks for routine foot and hand washing. Being granted access to the gorgeous temple to worship in was a privilege.
The record and description of the temple’s furnishing are stated in the text. Most of the items and vessels inside the temple were made of gold. These included the ten candlesticks, five on each side to the temple and one hundred basons of gold.
Heaven is more magnificent than Solomon’s Temple
The New Jerusalem, the holy home of God, whose streets are built of gold, has streets that are even more magnificent than the exquisite gold of Solomon’s temple. The language of man on earth is incapable of expressing the beauty of this holy city. This is the location that Christ has prepared for his followers. The splendor of this metropolis that Christ prepared cannot be compared to the beauty of King Solomon’s temple, which was built by humans.
Additionally to physical temples, God has said that believers are His temples that He resides in (1 Corinthians 6:19). Therefore, through genuine salvation and authentic holiness, this sanctuary should be garnished, beautified, and cleansed. God foretells the destruction of everyone who defiles this temple.
If you are yet to get converted to Christ, you have an ample opportunity to do so now by repenting of your sins and placing your faith in Him. Then, you will become God’s temple and have the privilege of dwelling with Him in heaven.
