Obedience is the practical devotion of God’s instructions. Obedience to God’s word ensures rest i every apect of your life. Many who think obeying God’s word is unimportant will remain in the proson of fools. But hey isn’t a fool a label for a sinner, no, the truth is those who refuse to put God’s word to practice is also considered one. In the book of Matthew 7 vs 24 – 26, Jesus compares a wise man who built his house on a rock to a foolish man who built his house on sand, despite the challenges of rain, floods, and winds. In Jesus’s words; “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:…”
John 2 vs 5 (KJV) says 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” which tells us that we shouldn’t be picky with God instructions. So ask yourself this, ‘What have I obeyed since hearing God’s word?’. Know this, your level of obedience will determine if you’d eat goof of the land. Isaiah 1 vs 19(KJV) says If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land.
Obedience shouldn’t be delayed (Psalm 119 vs 60 (KJV); I made haste, and did not delay To keep Your commandments), be done wholly, cheerfully and continously (Psalm 119 vs 44).
